A Day in our Lives - How We Lay the Foundations

It's clear that Ella and I are dedicated. Now, even more so than ever before. From something that was previously just an excited conversation over cups of tea, to now building our own business together, our drive is higher than ever.

So - how do we make sure that not only our dreams are coming true, but our clients too? Our days look a little something like this…

Morning Routine

The day begins early for us, with both of us waking up and texting the other immediately to check in. Then, after a refreshing cup of coffee, it’s time to check emails and put together a plan for the day. This is crucial as it sets the tone for the day and keeps us in a clear direction.

Task Management and Organisation

With the morning routine complete, it’s time to dive into the day’s tasks. At bridgers, we focus on providing solutions to small businesses. From managing their sales enquiries to communicating with fundraisers - we do whatever it takes to support our clients.

Our approach is unique to each client because we understand that each business is different.

Thankfully, this means our working days are always varied and never boring.

I tend to focus more on managing and checking in with our clients, and making sure they are happy and that we understand their needs. Ella is the smiling face of bridgers, and is often seen at networking events and meeting new people while building our brand. Our days look different, but one thing that is certain is that we will be talking and keeping in touch the whole day.

With each of us having our own strengths, we lean on each other to make sure we provide the highest quality service.

Afternoon Focus

The afternoon is usually often reserved for more focused tasks. I'm a huge fan of putting a podcast on and zoning out while I work so I can be distraction free and work on what needs to be done. Ella prefers to work in silence and dedicate her entire focus to it. Our afternoon tasks can include:

  • Content Creation: Writing blog posts, creating graphics, or designing newsletters.

  • Research: Gathering information for projects, staying updated on industry trends, or finding new tools and resources.

  • Administrative Tasks: Data entry, invoicing, and managing databases.

We also always try to take regular breaks and get air throughout the day to keep us feeling fresh and motivated. So, if you see us sat lounging in the sun… it's for self care.

Evening Wrap-Up

As the day winds down, we make sure to take the time to check in on each other and review the day's achievements.

By reviewing the day’s work and noting tasks that need to be carried over to the following day, it keeps us organised and efficient. We also send out any necessary client updates and wrap up everything before the day is done.
